About
I am a Data Engineer with a passion for databases and datawarehousing. I have worked on multiple client’s projects on both AWS and Azure clouds. Currently working at ELCA.
My skills includes the design, development, and maintenance of data analytics platforms on Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse and AWS Glue ETL/lake/warehouse solutions with strong knowledge of data processing techniques using Spark (Scala/Python) and SQL.
I also cover the full lifecycle of a platform with supporting skills in infrastructure management using Terraform, code and infrastructe CI/CD on Azure DevOps, and general software development in Python and Scala.
Currently learning Rust and developing toy programs with Terminal-based user interfaces.

Experience
Current employer. I have been working on various projects ranging from Cloud infrastructure management to Data Platform design, development, and maintenance. I also participated in setting the good practices in the team for newer tools that we used and kept up-to-date with the release of new data-related and major updates of existing tools.
Clients included a cantonal bank, a multinational NGO, the Swiss Confederation, a major postal service, 2 world-class hospitality schools, and some biopharmaceutical, chemical and construction companies.
Moderating the online Scala learning platform and teaching attendees on Scala’s expressiveness,
quirks, and footguns.
Brainstorming to find ways to raise attractiveness of Mirabaud bank to a younger clientele,
while attending courses, conferences and workshops held by internal and external experts
about finance in the Mirabaud Group.

Bachelor semester project for displaying HDR image on Android phone. The project included development of an Android app on Java, working on various tonemapping algorithms, and integrating the JPEG XL encoder/decoder (in C) to the Java environment using NDK.
